I am up so late tonight doing research for my paper on medical ethics, your story struck me because my younger brother had Osteosarcoma, a bone cancer much like Ewings and I thought it was so brave that your family took control over your medical treatment, years ago. So important to do, even if its not a “popular” choice, doing what you know is right in your heart will always pay off. You have incredible parents.
I am so sorry to hear you are sick again. I will pray for total healing for you. And let me tell you about my brother, he has had clear scans for over 5 years and during the last 5 years he completed law school and became a lawyer, his dream come true. Cancer is so full of sad stories, I know the horrible pain it causes loved ones, especially parents but, there are a few great stories that come from peoples journey with cancer. God Bless you and your family.
I know this is kinda late but I just remembered this site and heard whats been going on a few days ago but never got the chance to say anything to you. I’m praying for you and your family. I honestly hope everything is going well. I haven’t seen you in a really long time but hang in there bud. It’ll all get better. You’re an extremely strong kid and you have a bright future ahead of you. Like have you seen how smart and funny you are? Anyways I really hope everything is okay and I miss you. Stay strong bud.
I’m praying for you to be fully healed. Miracles happen! I live about 30 minutes from Children’s hospital, so if you or your mom need anything let me know. Love, Jeanette
Your surgery went well and you’re in recovery…huzzah!!
(Did they give you those robot arms???)
We just wanted to let you know that we’re thinking of you, too. It sucks that your mom and brother have to be in Milwaukee right now, but maybe you and your dad can do some cool “manly things” to keep you busy. We heard you have a game on Saturday. We wish we could be there to watch you play, but hope you have a great game! Give your mom, dad, and brother a big hug for us. We love you, we’re praying for you, and we hope to see you soon! <3

We’re so sorry about everything that’s happened this past week, but we’re amazed at how strong and brave you’ve been throughout this whole process. We’re praying your surgery goes well today. Maybe you could talk them into installing robot arms during the operation??? I bet the girls at school would love that…just don’t forget your own strength, as some major damage could be done, otherwise. We’re thinking of you, praying for you, and hope to come see you soon! <3
Get well real soon Jacob!
